EDITORIAL PHOTOGRAPHY: PLANNING, PRODUCING AND CREATING FASHION IMAGES.

Would you like to learn how a professional editorial shoot is done?

In this workshop, we will focus on what distinguishes a good image from a great editorial image. The classes give you an overview of the history of fashion photography as well as provide a working knowledge of contemporary fashion photography.
We will go through each production step: from a mood board creation and casting management to location scouting, lighting setup, and basic editorial retouching. By the end of this class you should have a deeper understanding of what goes on behind the scenes of a fashion editorial – which should prepare you for creating an editorial, ready to be submitted.

Deliverables:

Upon the completion of the workshop you will be able to:
• Understand the various forms of fashion photography;
• Recognise different roles within a creative team;
• Start to develop a personal visual style;
• Create fashion images that meet industry standards;
• Produce a fashion shoot from pre-production to production & post-production.

Students will need a computer with Adobe Photoshop, LightRoom and a camera (digital or analog).
